This coming season’s influenza shots are generally similar to the preparations available for a year ago, the only difference being the viral pathogen formulation. Information on the predicted dominant strains is available here. There are monovalent, bivalent, trivalent and quadrivalent formulations approved for use – the trade names are linked to the FDA-approved package inserts for each flu shot.
No mRNA flu shots have been approved for the coming flu season, and the best news is that all of the approved flu shots are ethically manufactured. Pre-clinical testing is not done, nor are the existing vaccines ‘re-developed’ – the only difference is the viral pathogen formulation. Please see the chart below for information and links to each individual flu shot.

Thanks for updating.
So that’s sounds good, yet, what about fetal cell line testing of these vaccines?
As mentioned in the post, the flu shots do not go through pre-clinical testing, as the only thing that changes from year to year is the viral pathogen composition.
On Facebook posted by Lisa rybicki it says human fetal cells are used in flu vaccine.
I would be interested in knowing her sources. I’ve not found that to be the case. According to the literature, no human cell lines – fetal or otherwise – are used in any of the approved influenza shots.
Thank you for the update. May GOD bless you for all your efforts to keep us safe from being uninformed about what is going on .
Are they mrna or not . Baby or not
Derrick, none of the cell-based culturing media listed are human, therefore, fetal cells are not used. With regard to mRNA, the post clearly states that no mRNA flu shots have been approved. All of the flu shots are of traditional attenuated virus design. So, ‘No’ to mRNA and ‘No’ to aborted fetal material of any sort.
This coming flu season 2024 -2025 the flu vaccine is safe to take? There are no mRNA or fetal cells? Gary
Gary, we updated the website with the 2024-2025 information a number of days ago. The short answer – no real change from last year in terms of how the flu shots are produced. All are ethical. No mRNA flu shots either. Here’s a link to the update if you want more detail.
😂 I don’t know how anyone could possibly trust the CDC NIH or FDA. They’ve all lied and people have died.
The CDC, NIH, and FDA have no shame when it comes to fetal tissue drug research, testing, or manufacturing. When dead baby parts are used, they are proud of it because they believe that human stem cells are the future. So, if the literature says that no human tissue was used, we can believe it.
Any current info if the new RSV shot that’s being pushed on the over 60 folks was/is ethically developed? Also, I’m hearing it is mRNA!? Trying to talk my mom out of it-but haven’t found clear info on it.
I would also like to know the answer to this question. My doctor told me today that I should get it.
See the reply to Paula’s question. More information coming soon.
Paula, The RSV vaccine is ethically compromised. I very recently completed my review and found that Expi293 cell, a variation of HEK-293 cells, were used as an expression medium and a culturing medium for the viral type used in the vaccine. More details are coming.
Thank you very much.
Just finding out how many things are produced with baby tissue.
Is there a place to go for non vaccine usage?
Jeanette, there is quite a bit of material on our site dealing with the use of aborted fetal tissue and cell lines in areas other than vaccines. You can use the search function to give you a list of articles that will, at the least, get you started.
Thank you for the RSV vaccine info. I’ll watch for more news from you in the future.
Thanks for your great work, Jose.God bless ,Marilyn Finnigan
Thank you! So if all approved are good to go, then no need to ask our doctor which one he is giving us, right? Thanks again!
Yes indeed – all are good to go. Not much is expected to change any time soon, as the only changes from season to season are viral compositions of the flu shot. The viral strains come from a ‘library’ of sorts, maintained by the NIH. The rest of the manufacturing process is unchanged, so there is no need for clinical trials, pre-clinical testing or anything of the sort. There is much speculation that an mRNA flu shot will come to market at some point in the near future, but these shots are low-margin products for the manufacturers and are unlikely to attract significant development and approval funds in the immediate future.
Is the BOOSTRIX (Tdap) vaccine ethically made by GlaxoSmithKline?
Yes, it is ethically produced. The active ingredients are cultured in nutrient-rich media, none of which have any association with aborted fetal tissue or cell lines. Boostrix is made to stimulate an immune response to bacterial pathogens, and bacteria are quite capable of replicating on their own, unlike a virus which requires a host cell.
Maria,
Yes, Boostrix is ethically produced. Aborted fetal cell lines were not used in development and testing and they are not used in production.
No question. I just wanted to thank you for this website and your entire organization. It is getting more and more difficult to walk a moral line in this pro-death culture. The questions and answers on this page, in particular, are extremely helpful. God bless you for your work.
Thank you for all you do. God bless you and protect you from all kinds of harm!
Thank you so much for keeping us informed, we so appreciate it. Evelyne & Terry Teske
What about ethical concerns about the newer osteoporosis medications? Prolia and Evenity? I have been on a couple of the older medications for this condition and they have not been effective. My physician recommended one of these.
Therese, Prolia was developed using a genetically modified murine (mouse) platform, whose development did not make use of aborted fetal tissue or cells. The human gene sources were PBMC (Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells) and hybridomas.
The antibody itself is produced in genetically modified Chinese Hamster ovary cell lines.
No aborted fetal tissue or cells were used anywhere along the development or production lines.
I will respond shortly with information on Evenity.
With regard to Evenity, its derivation and preclinical testing did not involve the use of aborted fetal tissue or cell lines in any way. Baculovirus expression media, murine (mouse) cells, rabbit and adult human cells were involved, but no evidence of aborted fetal cell lines or tissue.
It is produced in CHO (Chinese Hamster Ovary) cell lines.
