Our Mission & Vision
Our vision is to end the use of aborted children in scientific research and manufacturing.
Children of God for Life was founded in 1999 by Mrs. Debra Vinnedge, who has served as Executive Director until her retirement in 2021. It all began with a Campaign for Ethical Vaccines. Debi realized that while moral theologians argued about “licit cooperation with evil” and the Church asked us to fight abortion and demand ethical medicines, parents and doctors needed help knowing how to do the right thing and stand up to the pharmaceutical industry. Her “yes” to God was Children of God for Life. In 2021, Jose and Stacy Trasancos, parents themselves, are continuing the fight. We cannot settle for a culture that exploits the remains of unwanted children killed by abortion.

Those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. Romans 8:14
“I can never take credit for the success that would follow, knowing fully well Who is really in charge around here! Every time I have felt myself failing, every time I became discouraged, every time I thought no one was listening, God has put someone in my path to help me. Every time! He has never failed me. And even though I sometimes think He is awfully slow to respond, I have come to realize everything happens according to His perfect timing.”
– Debi Vinnedge, Founder of Children of God for Life
Position Statement
Moral theologians have declared it “morally licit” to benefit from the exploitation of the remains of aborted children in biomedical research and manufacturing, conceding ground to the abortion industry. Children of God for Life is taking up the lead to mobilize consciences in favour of life, as instructed in Dignitas Personae (35), and demand ethical alternatives.
Unity
Aborted children are tiny human specimens for a growing number of research programs. New biomedical technologies make it possible to discover the molecular details of human development. To be effective in the fight against abortion, the pro-life community must unite to fight all factors that lead up to and follow abortion.
Dignity
Dignitas Personae (36) says that the moral teaching of the Church recognizes the gifts the Creator has bestowed on us, such as life, knowledge, freedom and love. We participate in the creative power of God with technological advances. Therefore, science should advance resources toward the dignity of all human beings.
Truth
We are committed to truth and the hard work of researching the facts. “We are children of God and those who know God listen to us; those who are not of God refuse to listen to us. This is how we can tell the spirit of truth from the spirit of falsehood.” 1 John 4:5-6
Hope
“Life will triumph: this is a sure hope for us. Yes, life will triumph because truth, goodness, joy and true progress are on the side of life. God, who loves life and gives it generously, is on the side of life.” — St. John Paul II, Address to the participants in the Seventh Assembly of the Pontifical Academy of Life (3 March 2001), 3
