This is breaking news. The Supreme Court of the United States released their ruling on Federal vaccine, testing and mask mandates, delivering a 6-3 decision striking down the mandates. Blaze Media is reporting the following:
“By a 6–3 vote, the Supreme Court blocked Biden’s business vaccine mandate.
The Supreme Court declared that the Biden administration exceeded its authority by having the Occupational Safety and Health Administration enforce the mandate.
“OSHA has never before imposed such a mandate. Nor has Congress. Indeed, although Congress has enacted significant legislation addressing the COVID–19 pandemic, it has declined to enact any measure similar to what OSHA has promulgated here,” the conservative justices wrote in an unsigned opinion.”

All I have to say is . . . . ‘Thanks be to God!!!!’
I am thankful for our Supreme Court’s stance in opposition of Biden’s vaccine mandates whose unwarranted overreach was an attempt to dismantle the US Constitution. “We the people of the United States of America” must be prayerfully vigilant and active in pursuit of upholding “life, liberty and justice for all.”
That’s great news.
I’m thrilled by this news ….
I am a nurse and remain under mandate, where is the path forward to remove mandates for healthcare workers?
If we keep the pressure on, more will change for the better and I am sure that there are groups committed to further progress. There is momentum, and the dynamics are shifting more broadly.
Actually, the Supreme Court didn’t strike down the MANDATES, but put a hold on ONE of them while the case goes through court. But it is a good sign for the final resolution of the employer mandate. As for the Medicaid and Medicare funded organizations – that’s not looking so good based on what the Supreme Court did.
There’s still a mandate on military personnel, and on federal employees, and on federal contractors (although last I heard that one is under a lower court order not to be implemented while the case is ongoing).
The fight is not yet over. Keep praying.
The SCOTUS decision, while not comprehensively positive, was good news for 80 million Americans. I urge people to keep pushing back. Progress, albeit not total victory, is good.
I am a healthcare worker! We are still being mandated! I was told the Supreme Court ruling was for all but healthcare workers !! Please let me know if this is factual?
Julie, the recent decision did have an exception (supporting mandates) for healthcare organizations that participate in Medicare services and billing processes. I understand that encompasses just about all of the hospitals, local and regional systems.
Shortly after the announcement of this decision, a number of lawsuits challenging this exception were initiated on behalf of the healthcare community, so this is not yet over.
