Dear Senator (Or Congressman) ___________,

I am writing to you regarding legislation that has been presented to both member of the House and Senate, which I would like to see you whole-heartedly endorse. The Fair Labeling and Informed Consent Act, 2007 (FLICA) would require that consumers are given full information through clear and understandable language whenever aborted fetal cell lines, tissues, DNA or other aborted fetal components are used in the production of medical products.

As a parent, I was horrified to learn through pro-life organizations that aborted fetal cell lines are used in several vaccines, which my own children have received. As a staunch Christian who works to uphold the sanctity of human life, I am highly upset that this information is not readily available so that parents can make an informed choice and select ethical alternatives. Even my own family doctor had no idea these vaccines were created in this manner, so if medical professionals have no idea, how is the public supposed to know without this sensible legislation?

The organization spearheading this work is Children of God for Life. They have been working with members of the House and Senate to move this legislation to the forefront and have over 600,000 supporters in their Campaign for Ethical Vaccines. No bill number has been assigned and the language may be slightly revised before it is introduced, but I am asking you to join with members of both the House and Senate to sponsor this bill and see it is enacted quickly.

Senator (or Congressman) _____________, this critical legislation not only gives medical professionals and consumers this vital information, it will also immediately open the market for competing pharmaceutical companies willing to produce ethical alternatives. The bill will encourage the use of morally acceptable cell lines in research and development of new products. Mrs Debra L. Vinnedge, the Executive Director for Children of God for Life, has graciously agreed to meet with you or answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to contact her at 1-877-488-LIFE (5433) for further information and support.

Thank you for your kind attention to my request, Senator (Or congressman) _________. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Respectfully yours,
