This is news is breaking as I type this post. In this article, Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby said, “We take freedom of religion and worship seriously in the military. It’s one of the things that we sign up to defend,” Kirby said. “And so it’s something that’s done very carefully.”
Given the uncertainties and anxiety associated with all of the talk of vaccine mandates, this is important an important development, and it may be useful to anyone facing a similar situation.
Score one for religious freedom.
While I’m grateful on one hand, I feel this may put us in a worse situation long term. We don’t need unjust laws with exemptions, we need to put a stop to unjust laws/rules. This may cause complacency. Also, if anyone abuses the religious exemption, they will use that as grounds to eliminate ALL RELIGOUS EXEMPTIONS down the road (perhaps this is a setup?). Additionally, I suspect those with religious exemptions will be treated differently and unfairly in the name of “safety”–separate but equal.
Honestly, the religious at play here is Scientism and/or Transhumanism and the “high priests” are forcing their religion upon the rest of us. They have already begun an Inquisition which includes the “excommunication” of those who commit “heresy” or “blasphemy.” “Adherents” have already called for violence and segregation against nonbelievers. People are punished for questioning the tenants / dogma. What is being pushed by “experts” has little to do with science, and most followers have a “blind faith” in what they are hearing from corporate media. We need to use the language of a religion (or belief system or cult) to describe what is being forced upon us today because it has very little to do with science.
Are freedom and liberty at risk? Certainly. Should we sit idly by until it is too late? Absolutely not.
These vaccine mandates are not lawful. There is no statutory or constitutional authority that grants the Executive (and the bureaucracy that works for the Executive) the power to do any of this. When we find ourselves complying with mask mandates, vaccine mandates, social distancing requirements, suspended in-person worship, suspended in-classroom education, travel restrictions, etc., we are allowing ourselves to be pushed. Here’s the thing – people will push you as far as you let them and the rails on that railroad are very effectively greased with fear.
Until the fear abates, I’ll take news like this as a good thing. When the fear abates, more will push back. Sadly, some are getting comfortable living on their knees. God made us free. Sometimes we have to fight to keep it that way, but that is something worth fighting for.

I have a beloved family member who is fighting a 2-prong battle. He is a federal employee and soon to be active-duty military. He is getting pressured to be vaxxed from both sides. The great irony is that he has a child who suffered massive injection injury as a toddler. He’s now an adult and needs lifelong 24/7 care. Medical-pharmaceutical complex refuses any responsibility for the child’s damaged body. And this cabal of profitability will also refuse any responsibility for damages to his dad.
This week I got the worse punch in the face: my bishop stated unequivocally “making clear that Catholics do not have religious grounds for refusing the vaccine or seeking an exemption to the requirement.” He aligns perfectly with our secular masters.

My son flies Blackhawks in the US Army. He is standing beside the unborn and His Lord and is in the middle of his religious exemption appeal. He has been told by his chaplain, who are the overseers of these exemptions, that it most likely isn’t happening and he should reconsider. This article gave hope to some, but empirically this isn’t happening. It is a sad day for our country.
